  • Nice UI
  • Offers different connectivity options such as IR port, blaster, and WiFi
  • Simple to use
  • It’s an app for all Android devices.

  • Too many ads on this tool, you won’t enjoy the experience
  • Intrusive: asks for a rating before you even get to use the app
  • Freezes a lot when you finally get it to work
  • Would be nice to have it on iOS
  • Loses connectivity at times.

Nothing frustrates anyone on a game night more than a lost remote. Worry no more. This APK download brings total control of your TV on your Android mobile or tablet.

The Google Play app for Easy Universal TV Remote is simple, straightforward, and the UI is easy enough for anyone to understand and get used to. For that reason, I give the app a 9/10. The interface contains nicely designed control buttons such as Volume and Program Up/Down, mute, power, and other configuration settings are laid out well, and there isn’t any clutter. On the settings, you have options for IP Port, IP Blaster or Wi-Fi which you can tap to select.

I give the features a rating of 9/10. With this Android app, you will transform your phone into a full remote control. It will require your phone to have an IR port, but even without one, you can use an IR blaster or Wi-Fi for newer Smart TV models. You can select which option works for you in your settings.

You may also need to enter the IP address of your Smart TV if it is on a network with other devices. The Universal Remote works exactly like a conventional one, though the connectivity isn’t too perfect.

It is compatible with most but not all TV brands: Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Panasonic, Sharp and an array of others. The recent updates and the latest version have added compatibility with IKEA and Bluesens TVs and a few other bug fixes.

The Google Android app is free to download, and there are no in-app purchases. The app is compatible with a wide range of smartphones and devices running Android 2.3 or higher. The app isn’t compatible with iOS.

I give the app a 6/10 for this section. It rarely works, and even when it does, you are bombarded with too many ads and requests for a rating. I found this a bit intrusive. The app works for a few seconds and then loses connectivity or shows more ads.

The Verdict

This isn’t anywhere close to the leading Universal Remote apps that I’ve had the pleasure of testing before. I liked the UI when I downloaded it. Although as soon as I finished installing it, I got bombarded with a ton of ads and a request for a rating. The APK is free, but too many ads don’t make it seem like an advantage.

The app also stalls too much when you do get it to work. I didn’t enjoy using this app, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
